That face has misschief writen all over it

I thought of you today EK i was watching a young green woodpecker in the garden, but every time I grabbed the camera it moved to the other side of the trunk and every time I put the camera down it naturaly moved back into view.
Have you managed to seen one yet?

No, not yet. I was going to a Park in Keswick that apparently was a shoe-in, but I never got around, but hopefully in the Autumn.
 
A nice shot, and a pretty unusual one, based on my experience. Lutra lutra is not a species that seems to like showing itself 9-5....
 
A very attractive species - considering the loss of wildlife diversity in the UK over the years, it is a real joy that these days you can see Eurasian Otters in every part of the UK; even urban areas such as the city centres of Manchester and Newcastle have thriving populations!

Still damn hard to see of course ;)
