This is the old dingo enclosure, reduced to a much smaller size by a public ramp for strollers that zigzags into it. The main road is still closed, and this enclosure is not finished yet, there are no animals in it. The new maps state it is for Tree kangaroos, which I had surmised from some ugly looking aerial shelters.
There are two enclosures, this one will be viewed from the road and the ramp (on the left in the photo), the second enclosure at the back can be viewed from the ramp, and from the cafe and entry area (so people not actually coming into the zoo will be able to view them too, if they are coming to have something to eat or just visit the giftshop).
The building at the back of this photo is new. Behind the building are the top waterfowl ponds.
