So is this a shortcut from the path that goes past the Barbary Sheep down to near the Meerkats and Red Pandas?

Yes. Ramps and stairs.

The red pandas I think are all down at the bottom of the zoo now, in Bear Canyon.

The massive outlay of cash spent by Taronga Zoo over the past 15 years or so has been extraordinary. I wonder what percentage of the zoo hasn't been constructed during that time frame? It seems as if there has been non-stop development ever since the 1990's, including large areas such as Backyard to Bush, Wild Asia and Great Southern Oceans.

What percentage? I can't give you a number, but it's the majority of the zoo.

I guess we can't count on entrance prices coming down any time soon!
