Thanks for that folks its been a good few years since I have seen a King Parrot of any type,and yes the beak has a very major problem!

I don't understand why the keepers wouldn't trim it! It takes a very long time for a beak to overgrow that bad!

Not visited Hoo Farm then I don't rate the keepers with anything that is cute and fluffy and that they cannot cuddle!!

Never visited but if that was a bird from my work the keepers would get be getting some stern words! Doesn't take much time to restrain and beak trim a bird of this size!

I would pay to watch the staff try and do that,suspect it would be the best couple of hours of entertainment I would have all year!

from your responses, it sounds like the staff there may not know enough to even realise there is anything wrong with the bird's beak?

Yep that just about sums the place up,given that the owners asked somebody I know well if she could source them a Macaque species to take people in with for a keeper experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
