How's the exhibit holding up with all the elephants? From this photo it seems that the ground is really compacted and there is less plants in the surrounding planters compared to previous photos I've seen.

Yes, the grass that was initially in the exhibit has been turned to dust. However, most trees outside of reach have fared well.
