Great portrait. I'm newly keen on these this year having seen them at Bristol & then at Chester where I've previously paid more attention to the mandrills & Sulawesi crested macaques.
I see it as an imp.
A mediaeval stonemason could have carved a gargoyle just like this and Hieronymus Bosch would have run for his paints and brushes if he had ever seen one.
