how far away does the path need to be? okay yes cats need privacy and there should be areas away from the public but surely this is taking it to the extreme? it must be really hard to see the ocelots

I guess the barriers are an add on from it's private zoo days, and public viewing wasn't really taken into consideration.

Again this is the classic Aspinall barrier - not very close! The cats like the privacy so he built it that way

Yes its great that the animal can hide if it wishes from the general public. It is another example of the Animals and their well being coming before the general public.

Not all the barriers are this far away from the small cat cages, its useful to have some to fit the range of personalities of the cats in your care.
