Very good shot considering the enclosure is set back so far off the pathway! Would be nice to see the enclosures replaced along the woodland walk in the near future. This is one of the less spacious enclosures for the animals within this area of the zoo and would be nice to see them moved to somewhere more suitable IMO.
Gavin I agree and having been a member at Marwell previously I was surprised by the size and prominence of the snow leopard enclosure. That said I am no expert and this is just an observation not criticism. In general I love Howletts.
OTH, these enclosures offer seclusion and a woody, shaded environment that I feel sure the leopards appreciate. A taller, more spacious enclosure in this area would probably suit them fine.
Rumours has it that the North Chinese Leopards will be moving into a big open topped enclosure near the cafe which formerly help Manas and Lahore the Bengal Tigers.
