From the picture's ive seen of the new Tiger Sanctuary at IOW Zoo i am very impressed they look fantastic!
So ive seen pics of the Pench Tiger Enclosure,Khana Enclosure and the Ranthambore Enclosure, Is the Bandhavgarh Enclosure still in the planning stages or under construction or allready been built? because so far of the plans ive seen that looks like the most exciting one
Any other themed enclosures for the tigers in the planning stages?
Looks very impressive hopefully these sort of enclosures will be inline for the other cat enclosures soon
The Lion Enclosure looks fine after the 'makeover' with the jeep and Kopje etc

Some preliminary work has been done on the Bandhavgarh development but the zoo is holding fire for the moment, especially regarding the general financial situation - it's not the time to be taking chances on investment. Having said that, the project will continue, and some more work should be done this year. There is one more tiger enclosure planned after that, and all 5 will be linked for animal rotation. Seeing how happy and fulfilled the cats are in the new enclosures certainly brings into focus why they are important, though interestingly the larger size alone does not necessarily suit all the cats - enrichment is still important, whether built in to the enclosure or added on a daily basis.
