Not in terms of the Studbook (and in common with the rest of Europe). The Bengals bred at the zoo (last litter 1993) would have been regarded as well-bred at the time I guess, but would now come under the heading of 'generic'. To my knowledge the only tiger tested here on a DNA level is Czar who proved to be 7/8 Siberian and 1/8 South Chinese. It can happen that non-studbook cats turn out to be purer-bred than imagined if tested of course. Hopefully one day breeding studbook tigers will return to the zoo.
