Deja

This is Amur Tiger Deja, Born in Leningrad Zoo.
In this picture taken in 2007, she is having a well earned break from her latest cubs Markari and Katinka born in April 2006.
However her arthritus is catching up with her and I fear she may not be around for much longer, But she has had a good life and has been cared for very well.

Following on from this,
Deja was put down on the 19th January 2010 and as was thought it was found her spine was completely knackered.

How old was she when she died?

Deja was born in 1996 at Leningrad Zoo,
So she would of been 13/14 when she died at Linton,
Very sad, but it was the best for her. She was in alot of pain when i last saw her.
