I remember this was once a giraffe exhibit with I think 2 giraffes in here and 2 in the current giraffe exhibit, and that is why there are those 3 tall shade structures
I remember the rhino but not the ostrich. Do you know why the zebras were moved from the giraffe exhibit to this exhibit? Was it to fill in this exhibit when he black rhino went back to WPZ?
The zebra were in this exhibit when it originally opened in the early eighties (I think there may have been some antelope too, but can't remember that far back.)
Giving them access to different exhibits on different days provides some enrichment too.

So they rotate the zebras between their own exhibit and the giraffe exhibit. I guess the day I went they were in their own exhibit but I will be going this weekend so I guess I will see then.
BTW, is this exhibit actually larger than the giraffe exhibit as it looks bigger and thouht it would be more suited to giraffes because of its size?
Forgot to mention, when I went at the end of January, some of this area was being redeveloped and the ostrich moved here. It also looked like part of this exhibit was being renovated as well, but it looked like more the hard standing rather than the actual exhibit itself.
