I don,t see alot of "jungle" in any of these exhibits, i fact I can,t see a single piece of living greenery. Don,t they have gardeners at Longleat? Is it to much to expect an area called the Jungle Realm to have even a few token leaves

I was thinking along the very same lines myself. British zoos used to really put the "Gardens" into "Zoological Gardens" but recently seem to be slacking.Northern European zoos are probably leading the way now.Too much attention is being paid to the plans of architects who have their eyes on zoo development budgets and see far more money in concrete and bricks than any landscaping.Indeed , they are often worried that landscaping could shave square metres off their valuable building plans.Ironically , this is leading to a situation where the more beautiful zoos are the ones on a tighter budget. The fastest way to destroy the charm of a zoo is for it to suddenly come into money ( huge government grant , private endowment, etc). In other cases , it just comes down to a sheer lack of imagination , effort or aesthetic sensibility.
