Many years ago , when my wife was my girlfriend , I told her not to worry about the baboons on the car roof during a safari park drive-through. When we came through on the other side and found just about every plastic part of trim, aerial , windscreen wipers etc pulled away , bent and wrecked , it took many years to regain my prestige as somebody who has a fair understanding of the ways of our furry friends. She still tells the story!
I went when the park reopened after the foot and mouth closure in early 2000's and only toured the house, my partner didn't want to do the park, especially as they had just supplied an old car for the monkeys to destroy. One of the house guides said she thought it very irresponsible of the safari park staff to do such a thing.
