Hi zoogiraffe. How long would you suggest allocating for the Manchester Museum? Presumably it could be combined with Manchester Sea Life, but I'm considering doing the aquarium in Bolton Museum on the same day as well. Are there any other small collections in the North West you'd recommend?

Well it depends on if you do any of the rest of the Museum,or just do the Natural history part.If you did it all you could spend all day in the Museum without to much trouble!However I very often do both the Museum and Sealife in the same day,as was done the day this was taken.As for Bolton Museum I would check its open times as it has some strange opening times!I did Gaunlet Bird of Prey Centre on the same day as this without any problem,but be warned,that if they are doing a display they do not let people walk around the site!!!
Thanks for the response. In this case, I think I'll just focus on the Vivarium and biological collections due to limited time. I'll bear in mind your advice about Bolton Museum, but Gauntlet is unlikely since I'm reliant on public transport.
