Sorry to contradict you, Marwell Dalek, but didn't Gamin have the snip after the last cubs were born? I was told this by a volunteer at the park who said his bloodline was already well represented so they would not need to breed from him again.
If the male has been 'snipped' as his gene pool is well seen throughout the breeding programme there is no need for him to breed anymore.This is alot more stress free then contrecepting the female which can be complicated.
This is a general situation with many pairs of cats in the UK.Cant males also have temporary vesectomys?, I think they can to give a break for breeding.
If you have a breeding pair if you keep breeding them you dont want to have a situation when the cubs become un needed to other collections.
