The house behind the Tapir was the old Tapir house were they lived before the new house was built in those days they had no access 2 a paddock but did have a decent size pool this enclosure was opp the lion house.
What is now the tapir house was an open fronted building for the rhea,s which spent most of the time in what is now the rhino paddock,with the kudu in those days we had the pr of black rhino Kes and Katie which never had access to the paddock.
