My feelings too. :)

Yeah, they lived there for years, in one half of the Gazelle Complex: Before that they lived in the paddock with the Rhea and Capybara. Of course they had to move out when work on Life in the Trees begun. I'd love to see them back on grass in their old paddock, and given that area is designated as the South American Grassland biome, it seems very likely. :D

They should definately be on grass. They are very like sheep- the Twycross group is constantly nibbling the grass in their small paddock- these must miss that if they have come from Twycross.

Incidentally, though I have no strong feelings either way about the rebranding of 'Marwell Wildlife' the above explanation from their website seems a very good example of 'management speak' to me. It is a perfectly rational decision, but the 'rebranding' will largely go unnoticed by most of the average park visitors who simply pay to go for day out at 'Marwell Wildlife'.........Park??

Ahh I see, so they access it through their house. [Edit: Or, that little door at the top :)] What used to be held here, and when did it change? I haven't been able to visit Marwell since September time, and really need to go back sometime.

this year at first there were arabian oryx and vicuna, then the old herd of vicuna left and the arabian oryx were still there, then they moved the oryx to an enclosure near intoafrica and now the vicuna have both halfs

It held vicuna during the nineties before they were moved to the paddock by the shop. It then housed the anoa for many years till Life in the Trees was built, along with surplus Bongo, Nyala and Marabou Storks at various times. It also held the Takin before they moved to Roof of the World, and the Arabian oryx were also kept here for a long time when the vicuna moved into their enclosure (now the anteater). Animals aren't often kept here on a long term basis, making it a bit of a spaghetti junction. :) At the moment it houses the vicuna and two Ground Hornbills in a netted section to the right of these guys.
