Wow shes huge compared to the last time i saw her i was sorry to hear about her mother's death, Ascha was a beautiful leopard =/. Are you aware of any future plans for Kiska? Now shes almost 2 i'd think the zoo would probably be thinking of pairing her up with a male in the near future...
A male and female amur leopard are arriving at Marwell soon. I presume that the male will act as a mate for Kiska and the female for Akin, and that they'll eventually send Kiska and the new male to another collection so they can give Akin's new mate a seperation enclosure, or vice versa.
Kiska is going to Dortmund Zoo in Germany at the end of this month according to the Marwell website. It also says that they planning on getting a new mate for Akin.
Must have been a change in the studbook then, as I'm certain a new pair was the initial plan. But Kiska is a fantastic animal, and I wish Dortmund the best of luck.
I imagine she'll be undergoing the usual six-month quarantine if she's going abroad, but if she is on show some news on how she's doing and pics of her new home would be much appreciated.
