I have the same guidebook with this map, I've dated it 1972.

I think this is the first Marwell map. I have one in my guidebook from my first visit, when I think Marwell was newly opened.

This shows Marwell's original zoogeographic layout when it opened. It was ruled out a few years later due to management problems, though the masterplan created by James Cretney will regroup the zoo's collection into areas based on their range in the wild. This officially started in 2007, with the Australian Bush Walk forming Phase 1 of the Australian Bush biome and Life in the Trees as Phase 1 of the South-East Asian Rainforest biome.
