Isis

I wounder how up 2 date the Isis list is ?. Will see what i can find out from my contacts at Marwell.

I know Blackpool Zoo have got 1.2 now as a male arrived recently. This news was on their Facebook page, I think.

That's likely, as Marwell wouldn't want to send away with them because of the s.b as you mentioned and the fact they're proud of holding all three zebra species.

Marwell transfered 0:1 to Paignton in May 2008. She was 2 years old on arrival.

UK Mountain Zebra population

Blackpool 0.2.0 linton 1.2.0 Marwell 0.3.0 Paignton 1.2.0, this is the imformation i have recived from Marwell, which i hope is correct!

wouldn't it be good for marwell to get a male or give a female to one of the males since means more foals??

The trouble EvilKittie is trying to find one. They're not the most common animals in Zoo's!

i know but they could swap around the females or the males to give 2 large herds 1.5 and 1.4, while let the other two collections get a new hoofstock?

Its probably best to keep them in the smaller groups to keep them far apart if it was only 2 groups then the chance of them all being related even further is a high possibility.
This way it keeps them in more collections and kept further apart genetically.
