This has changed from a few weeks ago when he was in a much smaller yard nearby

I wasn't aware of a 'spare' stallion - on the 2009 Annual Report it shows 1.4 Somali wild asses. This individual was previously located in the enclosure alongside the okapis, to the side of Marwell Hall (which is now empty).

When they had two stallions, the 'spare' (or related one?) lived in that paddock.

I'm wondering if they have now moved the group stallion into here as when he was isolated on the hardstanding he was constantly trying to join the mares and biting the fences.
