There are certainly a lot of climbing poles for these entertaining animals, and while the structure is definitely not naturalistic I still applaud the zoo for creating a habitat packed with enrichment. An enclosure full of coatis makes for a great zoo exhibit.
Yes, funny you should mention that Vulpes! We have had some "escapes" from the enclosure , though NOT by jumping onto the wall / overhang but by climbing up the keeper door at the far end making use of tiny "claw-holds" in the surface of the door or edges. Luckily all were recaptured straight away , one used to get out regularly and return of its own accord aswell!! Z.
