Waterbuck, Giraffe and Grevy's zebra in African paddock

This huge and very attractive panoramic enclosure still looks very empty with just the three species listed, plus a few Ostrich. Are there any plans to add any other African hoofstock species soon to give it a fuller feel?

I have no idea, but imagine this paddock with just the zebra and you'll see my perspective of what Whipsnade was like in places...empty!

A bit perhaps, but nothing on the level of PL per say. Although there should be an extension to the right of this shot opening up at some point on the future, the level and fertility of the grass, along with the potential parasite build-up, are factors that have to be carefully considered in a relatively small space compared to the number of animals that are hoped to live there.

I know what you mean about some of Whipsnade's paddocks, however because they aren't mixed exhibits somehow I can accept that more easily than something where there are mixed species(if you get my drift...)

I was surprised when I saw Grevy's Zebra listed with other species of ungulates. I always thought they were the more aggressive out of all the zebra species.
