I used to watch all the episodes of the Monkey World television series, and many of the primate enclosures were quite impressive. They also have a tremendous number of chimpanzees on the premises.
I agree, the enclosures are impressive. There are a tremendous number of chimps at Monkey World, in quite large groups, but they have been mixed so well that they seem to have a very harmonious life most of the time.
I think the climbing frames are excellent, espescially as they add new things such as poles and tunnels so often. The chimps can get out of eachother's way if need be, so they seem very happy
I wonder why zoos or safari parks don't take this sort of approach to Chimp enclosures. It wouldn't be hard for a place like Longleat to do and seems a lot more enriching and larger than a lot of islands. They also don't have the risk of drowning
