Tree gallery, Natural History Museum

That cast was taken from one of Longleat's trees.

The tree itself was a 200 year old oak from Longleat's grounds, a cross-section of the actual tree is embedded in the ceiling. The cast, however, is of the 'revolutionary' lemur-like primate fossil and was donated by Oslo's museum of natural history. It was unveiled last week.
