Two of the zoo's Philippine Spotted Deer. These are rather charming animals and their new enclosure is quite large and well landscaped. Together with the Fishing Cats and Visayan Warty Pigs, they make up the rather nice Philippine exhibit which was only opened earlier this year. Sorry for the poor quality of this image. October 2009.

Two of the zoo's Philippine Spotted Deer. These are rather charming animals and their new enclosure is quite large and well landscaped. Together with the Fishing Cats and Visayan Warty Pigs, they make up the rather nice Philippine exhibit which was only opened earlier this year. Sorry for the poor quality of this image. The 3rd one(younger male) is behind the other one...This is the old area the Zebra and Lechwe lived in. These deer look good in this enclosure as its now a little hill- they can be seen to much better advantage here than either Chester or Colchester's.

i would disagree with chester's since you can see them from the bat bridge.
