There are only 19 Owston Civets in captivity, Newquay Zoo, Shaldon Wildlife Trust, Thrigby Wildlife Gardens and Banham Zoo. Newquay Zoo has recently returned two males breed at the Zoo to the Small Carnivore Project in Vietnam. The project will be sending a new male to Newquay later on this year.

Great project for such a rare species and good to see they are doing so well at Newquay Zoo ! Lovely picture !

Are you sure about Banham? I was there last weekend and didn't see any. Would be a shame to have missed them, though i have seen one recently at Thrigby & before that at RSCC.
