Noahs Ark Zoo Farm

Prayer for the Rhinos at this strange collection near Bristol in the U.K
I can only assume it's some sort of elaborate practical joke that we just need to wait for the punchline to. :)

More seriously, they must just about reach the minimum levels, I suppose, or they wouldn't be allowed in. But none of the other BIAZA zoos I have visited are in this league of shoddiness.

EDIT: This is in reply to Ashley's post #6 above - we cross-posted after I got distracted while typing!
Ah I see. Strange how they can sell animals and not give out any serious education.

I really hope it's not the case, and I stress this is speculation, but I could see how it would be... politically awkward for BIAZA. There are no other zoos so overtly Christian-orientated in the UK and Ireland. While I feel they should be making greater demands animal welfare-wise, I could understand if they feel that criticising the education policies at NAZF might be perhaps controversial. You'd have to word the letter very carefully if you wanted to make sure it couldn't be framed as anti-Christian if shown to the press...

You make a good speculation, I imagine it is quite awkward. But surely BIAZA have the right to say something if they weren't happy?

"We thank you for...their enormous appetite" and "Always to be safe from harm and harming people." That is a really moving prayer. :)

Yes it is a moving prayer but i don`t think the Rhino`s would stop from harming someone if they ever escape out of their Hi-Tec fencing!

It does seem like a practical joke- at least to people on this Forum. Unfortunately I don't think it is but it must be rather unique nowadays, both in its concept and in the very low standards of enclosure building etc. apparent from these photos. One wonders what caused the owners to diversify into a wild animal collection in the first place? I am amazed that they have passed any zoo license inspections too.
