Another high quality finish

There is only one word to describe virtually all their building work- SHODDY:( I don't know if they have managed to pass (or will pass) any Zoo Organisations' inspections with these low standards?

I believe they are now full members of BIAZA,so i don`t know what that says about BIAZA`s standards!

Glancing through the ZooChat gallery it seems as if this establishment is avidly disliked by most members on this site...BUT there are plans for a 20-acre Asian elephant "sanctuary". How is that possible?

Well, I don't know much about this site. But it does cater for a big city (Bristol) where the venerable and tiny zoo (founded 1835, 12 acres) has both given up on keeping most large animals (Lions and Gorillas apart) and taken a very long time over implementing plans for another, 110 (?) acre site on the city outskirts.

I don't criticise (certainly not on the former), but I do comment. Nature abhors a vacuum..

Next time I'm in that area I'm going to visit here. Their ethos gives me the heebygeebies but I think I shall go out of curiosity now.;)

As with any place, it's worth a look to make up your own mind.

Just don't plan a visit on a Sunday!
