WOW!

Took me two years to get a viewing of the elusive Red Panda, but it was worth the wait,what a beauty.....and not up the tree walking around for all to see.

TWO YEARS! You must be really unlucky, i see the red pandas on about half my visits although i do spend a lot of time there and if i don't see them the first time, i will go back later on. Having said that, i don't think i've ever seen the paignton pandas walking - perhaps you're not so unlucky after all. BTW, great picture.

I bet! I just looked at the picture and am amazed - it came right up to the fence. I've seen this at a lot of zoos but paignton's exhibit has so many trees that the pandas rarely come to the ground. I think i am ging to have to start spending (even) more time at the red panda enclosure as i am determined to see this.
