An animal may recognise the sound of it's name being called (dogs for example).
Keepers will presumably call the lions name during feeding so if a visitor calls out it's name then the lion will think it is about to be fed when it actually isn't
So are you saying they should be the only animals in the Zoo with no names even though we know their names and as I call them by their stud book names twice daily and they take no notice what so ever this will not deter me.
