'The only Elephant in the West'

Duchess is now the only Elephant in the whole of S.W. England. Nearest others must be at West Midlands/Twycross/Whipsnade/Howletts- all very many miles away. So educationally she has a big value...

i was very lucky too see both duchass and gay when they were around, and they both looked very happy back then, the too old ladies:)

Longleat has now altered this, of course. Still only one of each species though.
