This was part of the Chough aviaries that run down the hill behind the cottage aviary. Years & years ago the top of the hill and I think the reptile nursery were home to Macaques. Would be interesting to see what they are up to?

I put some details from old guidebooks on the #1 thread - regarding the Macaques, in 1959 these were Rhesus Monkeys and in the early to mid 1970s Barbary "Apes".
