Did you see anything? :)I remember Paignton made a big thing of it and invited people to come to the Zoo to see how the animals behaved during it. But I remember it was nearly 100% cloud cover/rain in the West Country and so mostly invisible.

I was in Norfolk at the time and the eclipse was about 90% there but the Sun was out- the light went golden but not dark.
 
We couldn't see the sun (typical!) but it did get darker as the eclipse progressed so we could tell it was happening. As for the animals, most of them were locked in their houses! The gulls were confused and started to act as though it was evening.

It was interesting seeing the zoo from a zebra's point of view though. I don't suppose I'll get the chance to climb up their field again.
 
A relative went to a nearby headland and apparently had a a good view of the shadow travelling across the sea. The zoo gave us souvenirs of the event, if I remember correctly.
