A pitty that this taxon is not kept any more in European zoos ! From the Mousebirds - which are quite easily to keep and breed ( own experience ) only the Speckled and the Blue-naped are still represented in good numbers in European zoos and a single holding ( Hagenbeck ) of the White-headed mousebird....
 
I think mousebirds make very good zoo exhibits. They are not colourful, but their sociability and amusing behaviour always catches my eye.
Zootierliste says that quite a few European zoos kept this species in the past, so it is a great shame that we can't see them any more.
