View of Aviary

No peafowl in the exhibit. Lower sign is a Great Argus. Almost as big as peafowl, however.

Well spotted, Condor! A neat-looking aviary , even if by comment on the size still holds true. I wonder if it has a small water-feature? I always like to see something the birds can splash around in, even though some aviary managers worry that contaminated water will be drunk by the birds. In circumstances that allow for regular cleaning and maintenance of a water-feature, I do think it is a huge plus.

This aviary now contains a breeding pair of red crested touracos, a breeding trio of wood hoopoes and a pair Of great argus pheasants! There's not water features but trust me the enclosure is a good size and the pheasant have plenty of Space to behave normally, they have the choose of two from to large huts, bushes to forage amongst and trees and perches to get of the floor! The proof that these birds are happy is that they have just had a chick hatch!
