Zorilla enclosure at Paradise WP, Broxbourne 25/07/09

The little cage on the end allows the animal to move between the indoor upper enclosure and the outdoor-but-under-cover bit underneath.

An extremely interesting design, and in all of my zoo visits in North America and Australia I've never seen a zorilla! Another reason to go on a European zoo tour.

I quite like the concept of it - and of course it means double the enclosure space for the same footprint. Built with a bit of extra budget it could be very nice.

And if you're keen on seeing Zorilla I'd hurry - they're dwindling fast.

Or you could go to a zoo that has spotted skunks, squint a bit, and imagine a slightly pointier snout.
