One of the worst enclosures I've personally ever seen from a UK collection. This is Ponderosas entire Racoon exhibit.
All the racoon did while I was there was pace up and down the same spot, continuously without stopping, as if it was bored or mentally damaged in some way. It was very sad to watch.
I've seen budgies kept in bigger cages than this. Is the shed at the back not used by the racoon?
We used to keep 2 chinchillas in a bigger space than this and we only lived in a flat...
EDIT:- I'm aware that I've never seen the enclosure but don't really want to see it either. I'm also aware that I may be judging something by a photo and know I may come in for some flack for that as well...
I agree with the comments on this place. To give it the benefit of the doubt, it seems a place with an honourable mission that is seriously over-stretched in terms of its collection.

No, just no. I'm actually glad that you took the photo while the raccoon was out, because if I hadn't the animal itself to compare with, I'd probably think that the exhibit looked somewhat decent-sized (I'm not good at size estimations ).
If that strange thing with a ramp going up at the back is some sort of shelter then I think I was probably wrong and the wood at the back is just there to sheild it from the elements!
I think this may well be the worst enclosure I've seen in the UK gallery on here. It's a lot worse than any I've personally seen for this species!
I've seen Raccoons kept in far smaller and much barer enclosures than this. I realise I'm a bit of a relic of yesteryear, but if I'd seen this photo without any comments I'd have thought it was a reasonable cage for a Raccoon.
