Barbary Lion signs?

Mike Lockyer was a friend of John Aspinalls and first worked at Longleat with the Lions this is most probably a memorial for him.
As far as i know he worked at Howletts or Port Lympne for some time with the lions i think.
i will check at some point.

You are right it is a memorial to Mike.Wonderfull man who is sadly missed by all those who meet him.

i believe his ahses were scattered within this enclosure which is why his name is on the fence.

Thanks for that hemsley it makes sense now.He really did love his lions and his work.
