Orycteropus

Fishing Cat feeding

A Fishing Cat gets its food in a pool. There are at least three location at the zoo where You can find enclosures for them. These are actually wood and wire cages, but with a big basic area, lush vegetation and several pools for them. These facilities are incomparably better than the Howletts WAP's cage(s) for this species.

There is not the end of this enclosure behind the pool, only a dense vegetation. In this photo You can see only a really small part of this single enclosure. I think it is at least more than 10-15 times bigger.

This is very exciting and I hope I am lucky enough to see one in the water like this. I will be there exactly two weeks from today.

If the enclosure is as big as Orcteropus says it is, you might have to be lucky to see one at all, let alone in the water.
