It's currently 8.45am and it's only just really got light. Apart from an hour for lunch I'm now in the office until 5.30pm, by which time it will have been dark for an hour.
Hence the emerging trade in 'light boxes' emitting sunlight-like wavelengths to prevent people from suffering what is (genuinely) known as Seasonal Affective Disorder (yes, SAD...), in which lack of exposure to sunlight can lead to depression in winter months.
