I'm 80% sure that monkeys were never mixed with gorillas here, I think the casualties happened in the old chimpanzee cages with the bachelor groups before this tunnel was used.
I believe the Guenon mixings with Gorillas were all at Howletts.
The Colobus 'incident' with silverback 'Jomie' was (I think) in the circular chimp cage.
Perhaps they intended to put the Samango/blue Monkeys in here to have a mixed exhibit in P.O.A but then thought better of it. From memory the Samangoes are in one of the cages opposite.
I don't think there are any Samango left at Port Lympne?
I'm sure I remember reading in 'Help' that a male colobus and a male diana monkey were both killed when attempts to mix them with the bachelor gorillas at Port Lympne failed.
I think the mixings at Howletts were more successful, at least for a time, with spot-nosed in one of the new cages, and samangos in the other, I would even say early success with this arrangement might have prompted the Port Lympne experiment.
