Well, I've always assumed that eventually relocating Gorillas back to Africa was his original aim of keeping them? With the five breeding groups (4 at Howletts, one at Port Lympne) all still producing, I'm sure they are pretty much at capacity nowadays and that they will send more young ones back to Africa in the future. (I know they don't want to expand/build any more Gorilla enclosures.)
