Yup. The lioness in this exhibit had been moved fairly recently - there was a sign on the lion enclosure down by the Iberian Wolves/hyaenas saying where she'd gone to.
yes when i visited quite a number of years ago it was home to a breeding pair of ratels , and the enclosure which now holds a lion held some snowleopards , its a shame they put a species as common as a meerkat in that enclosure which used to be for the ratels , dont get me wrong meerkats are endearing animals but they are too be seen in almost every zoological garden

Did you notice if the male Lion in here has been castrated- has it lost its mane? I'm rather in the dark about what their policy is with these Lions at present.
The current lioness has certainly only just taken up residence - there was a sign on her old exhibit (down by the hyaenas) saying that she'd been moved here.
