I haven't been for a few years. Is the path leading towards the tapir house, or is it going downhill from it? This looks like a newer paddock to me, as it doesn't seem to resemble the open sloping one downhill from the house, or the one across the path under a canopy of mature woodland. I am guessing the paddock photographed is next to the bongos on the same side as them?

Otherwise, is this just uphill from the more open paddock, between that and the gorillas?

Isn't this just part of the long enclosure alongside the Park boundary? - the one that held the fabled Sumatran rhinos when they lived there?

i wish lympne would get sumatran rhino back. imagine if they could apply the success of the Black Rhino to the Sumatran. same :(

It is. Port Lympne has never changed the set-up from when Torgamba left.

I don't think any other zoo species, except maybe Giant Panda when I knew Chia Chia was leaving London, has ever made me feel quite so privileged to make their acquaintance.

I have a much cherished photo of myself feeding Torgamba fruit over this green metal fence-with the keeper's permission of course- he took the photos! This was the last time I saw Torgamba as he left the Park for Sumatra a few months later. I didn't wash my hands for a day!!:D:D
