Stunning! I have never seen a Carpathian lynx in person, but I have seen European and lots of Siberian and even Iberian. This one is so dark and heavily spotted that it almost looks like an Iberian lynx.

Really? I would have thought that you would have seen the species at Port Lympne on your last visit.
They do indeed look a lot like an Iberian Lynx - which makes a lot of sense as they fill a similar niche, being much more focused on small rodents and lagomorphs as prey when compared to their cousins to the north.
