Although I should come clean and state that the Pallas's cat photos I took that day were somewhat 'keeper-assisted'; it definitely helps when the Section Head is standing right next to you! Also, they'd been out of sight all day partly because there had been building work (new path) going on all day in the immediate vicinity of the enclosures: this was the first quiet period all day. The female was happy to come over, but the male was reluctant and preferred to peep out of his 'den' in the rocks. It was raining at the time, so I can't blame him!
zootiger, I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank you for your recent annotated maps and related posts for both Port Lympne and Howletts. The information came in very useful during my recent trip to Kent (including first-time visits to both Aspinall parks), and allowed me to see things which I would've otherwise missed (as well as letting me know what I did miss, despite repeat visits! )
