African Hunting Dogs can be viewed through the glass below or through nothing on the elevated boardwalk above.

Looks good and thanks for the photos...How big is the exhibit and how many dogs could you see?

I could see all 9 of the females. I think Melbourne's four males should move in with these girls but unfortunately i don't think the males will ever be part of a breeding program.

I'm not good at estimating size but if you look at the picture below, it shows about one-third of the exhibit.

It is really good from a visitors point of view because the dogs den is in a perfect position to be watched by the public and i absolutely love african plants, of which there are many in this exhibit.

IMO, the best exhibit in the zoo!

A thatch roof would look fantastic on there instead of the iron.
