RSCC

Ocelot at the RSCC. There were two in this enclosure and it seemed a reasonable size. This was one of only two species in the Amazonia section which actually come from tha Amazon, the other being the Toco Toucan.

Now I thought this was ridiculously small! Strange, but I believe this inside area is to be re-done soon.

Do the ocelots have access to an outdoor enclosure?

No, none of the animals in the tropical houses do. Personally, I did not think this enclosure was that small (although I would have liked it larger), but I'm glad they are revamping the indoor area. Perhaps use the entire building for one theme (Amazonia would seem apprpriate as they have more species from that area).

I can see a personal vision for the RSCC coming on .

I thin, even though the site is so small it has a fair bit of potential, especially with the large tropical house.
